In terms of National Parks, Arches
is somewhat small to be considered for extended backpacking
trips. When leaving the developed areas and trails
there are no official campsites, designated trails
or pure, reliable water sources.
If you are going to venture out into the backcountry
of Arches NP then you'll need to get a backcountry
permit at the visitor center at the entrance to the
park . It's free, and your group must not exceed 12
people. Backcountry permits may not be reserved in
advance. |
